Civ 5 steam won't launch

WebUpdated to Windows 11 now Civ5 won't start up. It shows the game's play button, directx12, etc. But after pressing play it just doesn't boot up. I check steam and it doesn't show it running either. Anyone have similar experiences and if so, a solution? Uninstalling Civ and then reinstalling fixed it for me.
