WebJul 20, 2014 · I recently acquired a Heddon Black Beauty #17 8.5 ft 2F 3 piece bamboo fly rod. The wraps look to be all black; however, it is old, and the wraps have started to fall apart. So, the orange, red, whatever might be gone or covered by dirt. I do not know the ferrel size. The Heddon writing is in script going up one side of the shaft.
